A few weeks ago, John got the chance to spend a special day with Luke. John took Luke to the St. Louis Arch, a perfect activity for the two of them.
They started the day sitting against the legs of the arch to make sure it was sturdy.
Then they moved inside and explored the museum.
After that, they moved on to the main attraction. These pod-like things are the elevators that take you to the top of the Arch. You all know that I am claustrophobic, so travelling to the top of the Arch is not my favorite thing. It even got to Luke a little, the bravest kid on Earth.
Once at the top, Luke’s interests focused mainly around looking for geese.
But my favorite part of their chronicle of their trip came at the end. All that fun, and where were his thoughts focused?
You know you're loved when a kid has had that much fun, and still wants to go home to see his mom.

Wow! The Arch. I've never been to the top. I'm claustrophobic, too. On my first trip there, we stood in line forever and when we finally made it to the "elevators" and I saw what they were like, I said, "NO WAY!" I got my money back and waited at the bottom for everyone. I mean, it takes FOUR MINUTES to get up there, doesn't it? Ack. My heart rate is going bananas just thinking about it.
Cute videos! I don't think I could do that easily either! I'm glad he had such a good time and loved that he wanted to get home to see mom - how sweet! Have a good evening - Kellan
Wow. I am gonna ditto what the others have said and say I am not sur eI could handle that iny little elvator to get to the top. It did look pretty neat though. And your little boy is adorable.
We were gonna go to the arch on our trip a couple weeks ago, but decided on the Magic House instead. We didn't have time for both. We thought we would do the arch when they are a tad bit older and can complain EVEN more about how boring whatever we are doing is.
I love Luke's incessant babble. He is after my heart!
KEEP BELIEVING
Too precious!
I've never been to the St. Louis Arch, I've only seen it from a distance. It looks like so much fun though! I'm glad they had a great time!

Awwww. Yes, you've got a sweet little boy who LOVES his mama.
OH NO..and I brought up this idea to take Bossy...would you go if we held your hand?
Aren't you stoked..I can't wait to meet everyone!!
First, I have to tell you that just watching him look out made my stomach hurt! I never knew I was THAT afraid of heights! LOL!
But most important.. THAT WAS SOOOOOO GREAT! How cool that your husband takes the boys to do things individually. Your sons are lucky guys, indeed! And they love their mommy! How much better can it get??
COOL COOL COOL COOL!
