There was a campout:
But, since I still haven't quite recovered from my last camping adventures, I didn't participate in this campout. And I guess, technically, I can't call it a campout.
I wonder how much longer I'll be able to put a tent in a bedroom and pass it off as a camping trip.

Just think of all the time you are saving by having them open the doors from outside and bring dirt and bugs in...just so they can get a drink or food or go to the bathroom :) Great idea!! You could always put glow in the dark stars on their ceiling and help it along :)
I get to sleep in MY OWN BED? and have my TV nearby? sign me up for this camping trip.
KEEP BELIEVING
Drew doesn't want to camp..you know why, he doesn't like mosquitos.
I am all about camping trips that require no bug repellent.
Camping with central heating! At last!
Oh I wish it could still be that simple. This is my way of camping for sure - my guys just won't buy my way anymore!
Somehow I get the feeling that they found it rather awesome!
Trust me, you will keep having "bedroom" camp outs as long as you let them "create" a tent in their rooms. My kids are early teenagers and they still create tents in their rooms, they just do not let me join them like before.
Looks fun! Even I could handle this type of camping. LOL

When one of them mentions Cub Scout, just say no.
WHAT FUN! And oh so much easier to clean up than the old-style blankets and sheets held on the bed and a couple of chairs by books, toys, shoes, pillows and whatever else they could find that weighs enough to keep the tent properly pitched. Added bonus: it's small enough that there's no room for you so you HAVE to sleep in you own old boring bed. Poor mommy! ;o)
