Achievable Goals

The boys started school on Tuesday. Today is Thursday. This morning Jack informed me:

"We've had perfect attendance all week! That's two days, and I bet we'll make perfect attendance for the first four days of school!"

I said, "It's only the first week. We better have perfect attendance."

Jack responded, "Well we could be sick or not feel like going. I think it's hard to have perfect attendance and I'm going to try four days in a row."

This boy knows how to set achievable goals.

Perhaps that's how I should think when setting my goals...not a clean house but maybe just one clean room or even one clean object!

I love it!

Remind me to have Jack around when I am making my new years resolutions. He and I will have to discuss those before kid new year this winter.

Last year Drew was THE ONLY CHILD in his class to have perfect attendance. He was so proud. 1 week later he had the appendix attack...laying in the hospital bed he talked about how lucky he was that he didn't miss school!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step... or 4 perfect attendance days. Smart kid! LOL!
