His Mind-Body Connection

We were dining at our favorite Chinese buffet the other night. About half-way through our display of gluttony, Jack got The Look on his face. You know the one. It’s the one you don’t want to see in the middle of dinner. The one that has you and your spouse playing Rock, Paper, Scissors to see whose turn it is to take the kid to the restroom and subsequently lose all desire to eat another bite of that eggroll.

“My tummy hurts,” said Jack, closely following the appearance of The Look.

“Do you need to go to the restroom?” I asked him.

“Nope,” he responded. “Two burps and a fart ought to do it.”

Bring on the egg rolls.

Hilarious! I'm reading this as I sit in a coffee shop. I swear I almost spit coffee all over my new laptop! Do you sell insurance?

Right on, Jack! Gotta make room for more!

Ha! I think you need to adopt our family motto: Better out than in. We are thinking of having it tapestried (is that a word?) into a coat of arms.

I love that!!! My kids thought it was pretty funny too! My son will use that at the next possible opportunity!

Always room for more at the Chinese buffet. I always opt out of the dessert portion for more soup. I love me some Egg Drop soup. It just fills the cracks, anyway.
